Ministry of Counceling

Minister Deborah R. Prichard is a native of Erwin, North Carolina. She is a teacher and motivational speaker, who demonstrates God’s love to everyone she meets. She is destining to share and to show love, affection and a helping hand to others.

She believes without the shedding of the blood of Jesus there would be no remission of sin. According to John 10:10 she believes that it is the will of God for every individual to enjoy their lives.

With a bachelor degree in Sociology she has the heart for counseling and helping others to deal with underlying issues that causes stress in their lives. She received her Associate, Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Theology from the North Carolina College of Theology at Carolina Beach, North Carolina.

She feels that theological study is essential to build the framework every Christian needs in order to develop a practical understanding of God and His ways. The word of God says in II Timothy 2:15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

June 30, 2003 Deborah R. Prichard suffered a brain Stroke. Due to the Stroke affecting her brain, she was diagnosed with Foreign Voice Syndrome. Her voice sounded as if she was a Jamaican. She was in intense Occupational and Physical therapy for 5 months. Her husband and other people had to drive her back and forth to the doctor’s office and other places she needed to go.

Today Mrs. Prichard states she gives God all the praise and the glory for healing her body. “I praise God I am still on this side of the dirt, and I am in my right mind. I am thankful I am back driving and I can talk and people can understand what I am saying.”

She is a 1980 graduate of Harnett Central High School and a 1997 graduate of Shaw University. Mrs. Prichard is an associate minister of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Clinton, NC under the leadership of Bishop Varnie N. Fullwood. She serves as the Director of Children’s Ministries and Counseling Ministry.

She is married to Curtis L. Prichard. They have one son Aviceen and one grandson Avante. Mrs. Prichard is the daughter of the late Joe Ann Johnson.
